Jamie and Matt mounted the AP-500 on the correct mounting bracket at the MFR site and replaced the temporary power over ethernet injector installed last week with a slightly more professional version created by Jamie.

Jamie and Matt visited some of the newer sites to take GPS Co-ordinates and photos. We also upgraded the Access Point at MFR and in the process completed our first Power over Ethernet installation.

Murray and Daniel headed to Murupara to fix the solar site at the top of Mount Tawhiuau which had stopped responding. It turned out that a solar controller had stopped working. A new solar controller and batteries were fitted at the site. While the Batteries were Choppered in Murray, Daniel and BJ (the local electrican) had to walk two hours to get to the top

Some photos of Murrays car attempting a hill climb to the Pirongia site during an inspection visit in July 2002. You can also see a temporary antenna that was in place for a link test to the MCG Repeater station in the 2nd and 3rd photos. The other photos are from several link tests undertaken in July / August 2002.
